August 16, 2020

Dear TCCC Family,

We are so excited to welcome your children and teens back to our programming here at TCCC in September!  We will be reopening our children’s and youth programming in phases to help promote a safe, healthy environment for all.   We look forward to a great year of ministry

  • Staffed classes will be offered weekly for elementary students kindergarten (age 5 by September 15th of the current school year)-5th grade September 6th.

  • The preschool classroom will not be staffed during phase 1.

  • The cry room will remain closed.   A changing table is available in the restroom across from the prekindergarten classroom.

  • Sunday morning room capacity will be limited based on social distancing requirements. (Elementary- 7 children)

  • Parents will drop off elementary children to classrooms five minutes before service begins.

  • Children will be accepted until class size is full.  Children will remain in class for their own lesson time through the sermon.  After the sermon, they will rejoin families in the sanctuary for worship and communion.

  • Elementary students will have individual supplies.

  • Classes will be offered for elementary and middle school/high school students on Wednesday nights beginning September 9th.

  • Wednesday night elementary students will meet in the sanctuary.

  • Wednesday night MS/HS students will meet upstairs in the Annex.

  • When available, video lessons will be posted on the church Facebook page and/or website.

  • The van route will be discontinued for the 2020-2021 school year due to social distancing recommendations.

  • Elementary, middle school, and high school students will have individual supplies.

  • Students and volunteers are welcome to wear masks.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available in classrooms.  Students and volunteers will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer when arriving, before and after eating, and before leaving.

  • Students will be encouraged to bring their own Bibles or devices with electronic Bibles.

  • Planned games and activities will not involve direct contact with one another.

  • Students and volunteers will adhere to social distancing guidelines in seating.  Members of the same household may sit together.  Sit spots will help mark proper distancing for seating.

  • Any snacks or drinks will be individually wrapped and pre-packaged.

  • High touch areas (door knobs, light switches, toys, etc) will be disinfected after each meeting.

  • Volunteers, children, and students who are sick, have a temperature of 100.0 or greater, have symptoms of COVID 19, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19 (within the past 14 days) should remain home.

Any extra youth and children’s events will be planned with these guidelines in mind.  If you have any questions, please let us know.
